1. HOW FREQUENTLY SHOULD I USE THIS PRODUCT?
Use 3 times a week during first month;
Use 2 times a week during second and third month;
Use once every half or one month after third month.
2. WHEN CAN I SEE THE EFFECTS, AND IS IT PERMANENT?
Most customers start to see evident hair reduction after 3-4 weeks. With 2-3 treatment per week, the effect becomes completely evident after 12 weeks. After each treatment, hair will grow much more sparsely and thinly. Eventually, hair reduction becomes permanent. To maintain the skin’s smoothness, you need to do 1 treatment every 2 to 3 months or as required. Both the outcome and frequency of treatment are different case by case.
According to FDA’s regulations, permanent hair removal means ‘continued and steady reduction of hair over a prolonged period’, which we provide, though some may interpret the term ‘permanent’ differently. Please know that even the photo-therapy used in clinics is not entirely permanent.
3. ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECT?
The biggest advantage of IPL hair removal technology is its zero side effects on skin and body.
4. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENT BETWEEN SAPPHIRE AIR WHITE/LIGHT GREEN/DARK GREEN?
The biggest difference between these three products lies in the cutting grade and light transmittance of the sapphire head window. White uses double-faceted A-grade sapphire, pale green uses four-faceted A+ grade sapphire, and dark green uses six-faceted A++ grade sapphire. More facets and higher grades of the sapphire can enhance light transmission, making the effect more pronounced.
5. WHICH AREAS OF THE BODY CAN I USE THIS ON?
You can use your handset on any part of your body, including your Brazilian (Bikini area) and face. But please do not use around the eyes (use only below cheekbones)
Our IPL is not suitable for the ‘inner parts of the bikini area. Therefore you should never use it on the labia minora, vagina, scrotum, or anus.
To prevent discomfort, we advise you to treat the bikini area, inner thighs, and buttocks from the lowest intensity level, as the skin in these areas can be more sensitive.
6. Is Ulike suitable for me?
Ulike IPL hair removal device is not recommended if you have any of the following:
-A known skin disorder
-Skin diseases such as allergic dermatitis, eczema, etc.
-Photosensitive epilepsy or Photosensitivity
-Menstruating, pregnant, or lactating
-Dark black or sunburnt skin (please refer to the Ulike IPL Compatibility Guide)
-Damaged skin, a scab or healed wound, cancer or hemangioma
-Any artificial aesthetic, prosthetic, or plastic area
-Tattoos on the area for treatment
7. Does IPL work on all skin types and hair colors?
For IPL hair removal to work, there must be a contrast between the skin tone and the hair colour. Because the IPL light is absorbed by the melanin and heated up, the hair follicle can be killed, resulting in long-term hair removal. Therefore, very light natural hair colour might not see effective hair removal results. And deep dark skin tones might face burning risks. This is an unfortunate restriction of IPL technology. Take a look at the chart below to see if IPL hair removal will work for you.
8. Is Ulike safe? Can it cause cancer or skin aging?
Ulike has conducted numerous clinical trials on IPL's safety & effectiveness. We guarantee that all UV lights of our handsets are filtered out, blocking wavelengths below 1200nm from the IPL spectrum. This industry standard applies to most IPL systems and is done to prevent skin damage by light rays, which means that Ulike doesn’t cause cancer & any chronic complications such as skin disease & skin aging.
