Male, caucasian, age 55, moderately hairy and greying. I was very skeptical at first but I started using the IPL device Ulike X for Men about 12 weeks ago following the instructions for frequency of use. I have to say that it has worked wonders on my lower arms, hands, legs, buttocks and armpits. Having just entered the 'maintenance' phase, there is a huge difference in the re-growth rate and coarseness of body hair. I will add, however, that I have had less success with the product on my neck/beardline. My advice is to stick to the routine the guide suggests and do not miss a session. As the videos on YT have taught me, consistency is the key to success. Highly recommened this product especially when comparing to costs of other hair removal options (time as well as money).
I've been using the Ulike Air 10 version for about a month now, using it three to four times a week as recommended. I've honestly noticed a huge difference. The biggest change is how much slower my hair is growing back. Before, I was shaving every other day, but now I can go four to five days, sometimes even five, between shaves. My skin feels incredibly smooth, and any regrowth is very light. The texture of my skin has improved a lot, and it even looks brighter.
What I'm most thrilled about is that it's virtually pain-free. I'd recommend exfoliating and shaving the area beforehand, but the device itself has a cooling effect and causes hardly any discomfort. The only minor drawback is that it's not cordless, but honestly, that hasn't been a real issue for me since it covers me so well. The three modes are simple to comprehend and simple to switch between: red light, which provides general support for the skin; blue light, which I use when my skin is feeling congested or when a spot is beginning to appear; and mixed light, which I use when I want a balanced session. My other skincare regimen remained the same, and I got into a schedule that consisted of four to five sessions each week, most of which took place at night. I just got my mask this past Sunday and I’ve used it Sunday night and Monday night.
